An
Arizona native, Hannes started making jewelry in 1974. Hannes Garrett is a
true metalsmith at heart; a self taught silversmith, trained blacksmith,
certified welder and freelance sculptor. For over 20 years he headed of
the Foundries at Cosanti and Arcosanti.
Hannes has mastered the technique of lost Styrofoam casting and taught
dozens of apprentices the secrets of running a small sand foundry; working
as technical advisor on many projects. He has always been partial to the
idea of someone forming their own personal connection to a piece of
jewelry and likes knowing that each piece becomes a part of his customer’s
lives.
